DanielaRuahFans Celebrating 14 Years Online

No passado mês de Julho e enquanto Daniela Ruah estava em Portugal a gozar as suas férias, a revista Sábado fez uma pequena entrevista sobre a rotina diária da actriz. Cliquem na imagem abaixo para lerem o artigo.

Last July and while Daniela Ruah was in Portugal on her break from shooting NCIS LA, the portuguese magazine Sábado did a tiny report on her day-to-day routine. Read the translated english transcript below.

24 HOURS WITH DANIELA RUAH:

My alarm clock is set for 5.15 am. I prepare my clothes and take a shower the night before so I won´t have to take any more than 15 minutes to leave the house. I get up, brush my teeth, get dressed, get my dogs (Roxy, a 3 year old mutt, and Ash, a 1 year old white german-sheppard) in the car and head to the dog shelter where they stay all day playing with other dogs. On television, the set locations and timetables are never the same. I can either work 6 or 17 hours straight all in one day, as it has happened before! On the days that I start working late or finish early, I go to the gym or do some jogging around my block. On my way to the studios, I make my regular phone calls to my parents, since there´s a time difference of 8 hours between the USA and Portugal.
I arrive at Paramount Studios at 6am. In the morning there´s always catering for breakfast. I chose scrambled eggs with coriander, half avocado, roast potatoes and a latte.
I eat at the hair and make-up trailer (one of the most fun places, it´s always a party in the morning).
I take approximately 40 minutes to get ready and then go get dressed. Next, I review my lines for the scene and read the news on BBC´s and CNN´s websites while I wait for the production assistant to call me to set. Once all the actors are there, we all read the text out loud with the director and mark the scene. They still take a few minutes to properly light the set and only then do we start shooting.
At noon it´s lunch time. If there´s catering we get a break of 30 minutes, if not we get an hour. In that case, I take advantage of the time to get some sleep or catch up on my daily chores. Next, we retouch hair and make-up and resume shooting.
When I´m done, around 7.30 pm, I return to the dog shelter to get my dogs and we all go home. I arrive at 8.15 pm. If I don´t cook I order in because I´m usually too tired. I learn my lines for the next day and around 10pm I take a shower, clean my make-up, hidrate the skin and get ready for bed. But first I decide what I´m gonna wear the next day. At 11pm I usually watch two episodes of the show «Friends» that I never miss or a documentary on my iPad. At midnight I´m fast asleep.”

Except for our jobs we have the saem routine. It’s so scary to read this and be like- OMG she’s me but not me. LOL! Best read of my life. Makes me feel so much more real. Thank you for sharing this.
