NCIS: LOS ANGELES

The long-unresolved mole issue “comes back to bite us in the ass,” says showrunner R. Scott Gemmill, “and the team has a limited time to solve it before they all get canned.” So dire will things get, one team member confesses to being the traitor, while the story at large impacts “all of our characters, especially Sam and his family,” says the EP.  Amidst that tension, “a mission gone awry” will accommodate Daniela Ruah’s latest pregnancy (as well as “throw a wrench into the works” for poised-to-propose Deeks), while ” a bunch of action in the field” is on tap for Nell and maybe even Eric. On the personal front, Callen’s father is set to return, and we’ll find out more about Granger’s past (which has “some darkness to it,” Gemmill teases).

BONUS SPOILER!: While Kensi is away, who will enter the fray? Arkady Kolcheck’s daughter, Anna (played by Bar Paly), will give the team a helping hand — “and we’ll push her relationship with Callen forward a bit, as well,” Gemmill says.

RETURN DATE:  Sunday, Oct. 2 at 8/7c (CBS)

Spend your Labor Day enjoying Motherhood in Hollywood´s exclusive podcast interview with NCIS: Los Angeles star Daniela Ruah!

She’s about to give birth to baby #2 any minute so she’s got A LOT of great info for moms. She shares what it’s like starring on a hit CBS show while pregnant, ,what it was like telling the producers of her show that she was pregnant and how they reacted, how her son River is reacting to getting a sibling, and her tips for staying healthy before and after pregnancy. Also how she would tackle a birth scene differently now that’s she’s had a baby of her own. This episode is a MUST LISTEN for actresses, moms, and women trying to balance their career and family.

You can listen to the entire interview HERE (Daniela comes in at min 8), or by clicking play below.

Here´s an interview with Daniela Ruah from last wednesday´s TCA party, for Parade Magazine.

It was a very pregnant NCIS: LA star Daniela Ruah who showed up at the CBS party for the Television Critics Association press junket. So much so, that Parade.com had to ask if the actress, who plays Kensi Blye, was taking time off the series for maternity leave.

It wouldn’t be the first time that the hit CBS show has had to adjust shooting to accommodate her. Back in 2013, Kensi and her partner Deeks’ (Eric Christian Olsen) were separated and she was shipped off to Afghanistan, where she wore bulky clothes in order to hide Ruah’s first pregnancy. She gave birth to a son, River, on December 30, 2013. Dad is David Paul Olsen, Eric’s brother.

The answer is yes, she will take maternity leave, but she won’t be off the show. Ruah says, “They’ve had to hide my pregnancies. I loved the Afghanistan storyline from Season 5, and this new storyline even trumps that, so I’m really excited for you to see what’s coming.”

Season 8 of NCIS: LA is going to have an explosive start. It begins with a mission that determines the sequence of events that follow for Kensi, in particular, and, obviously, as a consequence, for Deeks. The characters go through a very hard time. In previous storylines, they’ve overcome obstacles. This new story will test them further, and make them or break them. “I know we’ve seen that kind of thing before but for me it never gets old,” Ruah says. “Our writers write great things. Every time a season starts, I’m excited.”

In the interview, Ruah talked in more detail about how the show is handling her pregnancy and how she deals with it as she awaits the birth of her daughter. Yes, it’s a girl.

Will Kensi be off the show?

Not that you will see. To me it’s a blessing. This whole first week of shooting, they set up starting with episode one as we usually would, but they held up the rest of the team and they had me and Deeks, and a couple of other characters, shoot all of my stuff for nine episodes, which will then be added in, in post production, so you won’t notice my absence from the show.

Was it harder to work this way?

No, it’s not and I will tell you why. When you have a story arc for nine, ten episodes and you are shooting the episodes in sequence, which never happens when you’re shooting a full episode, because you shoot per the location you are able to schedule. Things don’t happen in chronological order, so to have something happen in chronological order is actually very helpful when you’re playing a specific arc, so we had a tech advisor related to a specific situation, and I won’t tell you what that is, otherwise you will figure out what the story is. I wish I could tell you more, but I can say, there is a proposal.

ET’s EXCLUSIVE : Daniela Ruah Talks Hiding Her… por DanielaRuahFans

Pregnant NCIS: Los Angeles star Daniela Ruah is dishing about the challenges that come with camouflaging her growing belly while filming.

“This is not easy to hide anymore,” Ruah tells ET. “I think the camera angles probably and wardrobe have been the biggest secret.”

Ruah and husband David Olsen are expecting their second child — a daughter — this year, but Ruah will still be in every episode of the CBS drama thanks to the craftiness of the crew.

“There’s one scene where she’s got a sniper rifle out and she’s supposed to be lying on her stomach,” says Ruah’s co-star and brother-in-law Eric Christian Olsen. “I looked around and I was like, ‘How are we doing to do this? She’s got a giant baby in her belly,’ and everyone kind of stares around like, ‘Should we dig a hole?’ So we are digging a hole in the desert, so she can lie and place her belly into this hole!”

Meanwhile, her baby bump is front and center on the cover of the latest issue of Fit Pregnancy magazine.

“I feel incredible,” Ruah shares.

But Ruah and her husband aren’t the only ones excited for their new arrival. The couple’s 2-year-old son, River, can’t wait to be a big brother. Ruah told us that River kisses her belly “all the time” and talks to his unborn sister.

“He puts on a baby voice and says, ‘You want to come out? You want to come out?’ and I’m like, ‘She’ll be here soon!'”

NCIS: Los Angeles returns to CBS on Oct. 2.
