NCIS: Los Angeles’ Kensi (Daniela Ruah) may very well be finally getting the proposal from Deeks (Eric Christian Olsen) she’s earned by the end of this season, but either way, she’s most definitely going to be getting her groove on.

That’s on the dance floor, to make sure we’re on the same page. In “From Havana with Love,” airing April 9, the fierce field agent known for her forensic acumen and combat expertise is going to be showcasing a totally different set of skills for a new case. Lou Ferrigno Jr. will star as Victor Larmont — a man who suspects his wife is selling Navy secrets to terrorists.”We end up in a Cuban dance club,” Ruah told TVGuide.com in a recent interview. “And Kensi has to go undercover as a salsa dancer. So it’s very cool.”

She’ll be dancing with George Akram, who’s played Bernardo in the Broadway revival of West Side Story and boogied alongside Ricky Martin, Gloria Estefan and Meryl Streep. Of course, dancing is totally in Ruah’s wheelhouse; she won Portugal’s version of Dancing with the Stars in 2006. Believe it or not though, she still had some jitters working with Akram. “He’s a really good dancer,” she said with chuckle, “and I was little bit intimidated. But he was very sweet and he taught me a lot.”

“From Havana with Love” airs Sunday April 9 at 8/7c on CBS.

NCIS: LA actress Daniela Ruah was in tears when she stopped on the red carpet to reminisce about her late co-star with goldenglobes.com. “We got to know him not only as an actor, which he loved doing, but we also got to know his family and how much he loved them,” she said with emotion. “Having gone to his memorial, I felt it was such an honor to have known him and one special thing that George Clooney said at the memorial to Miguel’s sons was, ‘if you guys are ever missing pieces of his story or you can’t remember something about him anymore, just remember every person in this room is part of the encyclopedia of your dad’s life.’ That really resonated with me and I love that we will all have pieces of him with us always.”

It´s now official guys!! “NCIS: Los Angeles” has been renewed for Season 9! 😀
Once again, congrats to the cast and crew for another successful year and to the fans, who keep making the show possible!

CBS gave out early renewals to 18 shows, including dramas Madam Secretary, Blue Bloods, and Hawaii Five-0, comedies Mom, Kevin Can Wait, and Life in Pieces, along with reality show Survivor.

Also renewed: Freshman series Bull, MacGyver, Man with a Plan, and Superior Donuts, as well as veteran shows NCIS: Los Angeles, NCIS: New Orleans, Scorpion, 48 Hours , and 60 Minutes. Renewals for The Big Bang Theory and NCIS had previously been announced.

So, what’s missing? Returning dramas Criminal Minds, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, Elementary, and Code Black, along with comedies 2 Broke Girls and The Odd Couple. New series Pure Genius, Training Day, Doubt, The Great Indoors, and Ransom are also absent. However, just because they weren’t given early renewals doesn’t mean they’re canceled.
